Upon rental begin, a refundable security deposit of ZAR 15,000 (your excess/personal iability amount) will be due which is payable at our RETZA location. The deposit will be blocked or charged to your credit card, and released upon the successful return of your motorcycle. Any damages will be assessed, quoted for and deducted from the deposit.

WeatherNo weather restrictions. Cape Town can experience strong wind and gusts which require extra attention of the rider and cautious riding.

What to WearMotorcycle Helmet Long pants, preferably jeans or motorcycle pants. A long-sleeve or zip jacket. While the motorcycle jackets will keep you cosy, having an extra layer of warmth is recommended especially if you plan to ride along coastal areas. Closed shoes like boots or high ankle shoes. Motorcycle Gloves (summer and winter).

Things to BringA buff or a scarf to protect your neck and face from the sun and wind while riding. In case of rain, we recommend to carry rain gear. Simple/regular rain gear (jacket & pants) suffices. A small backpack for your personal items. Sunglasses. Sunscreen. Camera.

Rental price includes:
1 x Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with pillion seat
1 x Complimentary helmet
Motorcycle rental (rental period: 24hrs, incl. 200km/day, extra km @R4 per km)

*To rent 2 motorcycles, select 2 adults.

The motorcycle will be handed over with a full tank of petrol, and must be returned fully topped up.

Exclusions

RENTAL GEAR
We can provide motorcycle gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, mobile phone holder and saddlebags) on request and at an additional rental fee.

Petrol needs to be returned fully topped up, otherwise, a full fee of R150 + fuel costs applies
Out-of-office hours (including Sunday’s) return/pick up = R500 per item
Drop off/Collection from a hotel or guesthouse: R550 one way within 15km of Cape Town
Drop off/Collection from a hotel or guesthouse: R1100 both ways within 15km of Cape Town"

Notes

DAMAGES: the motorcycle is rented out as is, i.e. after a detailed check by the RETZA staff and the customer and the signage and approval of its condition. Any damages found upon its return will be considered new and are chargeable. Any issues encountered during the rental period must be immediately informed to RETZA who will advise on the next steps.

EXTENSIONS & DELAY
We understand that it is easy to fall in love with our Royal Enfields and that you would like to keep it for longer.

Extension: If you’d like to extend your rental, please contact us at least 4-6 hours prior to your scheduled rental return (via phone or email). Depending on the availability, we will either confirm the extension and send you a payment link to settle the balance amount immediately, or we will ask you to return the bike as scheduled.

Delays: All bikes must be returned either before 5pm on the last rental day, or if agreed with our RETZA team before 9am on the following morning. If you return the bike after your scheduled return date and time, and you fail to inform us, you will be charged a full day rate plus a penalty fee of R500 for every delayed day.
